Taking photos

Question 4

Today I am going around to see some family and I think this is the perfect opportunity to get some photos for question 4. This is because I need to take photos of people I think would read my magazine and I will insert these clips into me a video of me speaking about them. This is to show that I know my target audience and I can show who they are and I can say why they are interested in my magazine.

Filming the evaluation

Evaluation style

I have a weekend to film my questions which is plenty of time. The only thing is I didn't think it would be as difficult as it is. This means that I have decided to change how I was originally going to produce this evaluation. I was going to have me just talking to the camera and inserting clips of the magazine and me pointing to certain thing. Whereas now I think I am going to film lots of very short sections. This will take a lot longer to edit and I only have 2 days to edit it but I think it should be fine. All I will hopefully have to do is convert the clips into a lower quality and then put them into adobe premier pro in order. However I have already wrote down which clip goes where which should make this step a bit easier.  The reason I have to lower the quality is because the computers I will be using aren't able to produce the equality that the clips are and it then crashes and the videos won't play.

Responses for my evaluation

Question 5

Today I went and I filmed my friends on the schools camera, Which is the Nikon D5100. I was getting there feedback on my magazine and seeing what they liked about the different pages. This weekend I will be filming the rest of the questions and I will be using a Nikon D7000 as the school cameras are booked out.

Adobe Premiere Pro

Starting the Evaluation

I have started creating my evaluation and I am having to use a new program that I haven't used before. So far on Adobe Premiere Pro I have been adding the slides between the clips I will be filming.  I have learnt how to create slide with text on. To do this you need to open up a new document or add them to a document you are currently working on.

Step 1: You need to click on the new item button which is the icon which looks like a post-it note. Then if you want to add text click on the Title... option.

Step 2: This is where you can name the clip/slide so it is easier to know which one is which. I have named mine Q1 - Q7 as each different slide has a different question on. This will make it a lot easier if things become out of order or you delete a slide by accident. You won't need to search through loads of different ones. Then you click okay.

Step 3: You will need to select the T button and then draw a rectangle (text box). Then you can chose the font and the size colour and what ever else you want to add. When you are done just close the small window and the slide will be in the bin. Then you can drag it down to the timeline.

So far I have made a opening page and a slide for each question. I will be inserting videos and images in between each one once I have filmed them.
