Survey Results

My Survey

To make sure my magazine is appealing to not just me I produced a survey and made a random selection of people to complete it. This is so I can see what most people prefer. I had 41 responses. Although if I want to produce a magazine that holds music from the charts and the random selection has only 2 people that are interested in that type of music then I may have to reconsider. Therefore if I get the result saying most people like dark colours I may decide to not use them and actually use bright/light colours as it is more fitting for my genre if most people do vote for pop.

Q1
Most popular answer: Pop/rock, closely followed by Pop/Dance and Indie/Alternative
Therefore I am going to go for my original idea which was charts music as it will incorporate the most popular genres and some others.
Q2
Most popular answer: A mix of both bright and dark.
Since my genre is in the charts music I will need to have mostly light and only a few dark colours as otherwise it may look like a rock, dance or rap magazine.

Q3
There were a lot of different suggestions but a lot of them were pastoral, pink, blue and red. For My magazine I used these colours however I changed the red to a darker purple as I thought it matched better and the red clashed.

Q4
Most popular answer:A variety of artists and information.

Q5
Most of these responses were modern singers such as Ed sheeran, Sia,Sam Smith and Ellie Golding. This is perfect as now I can feature the artists I wanted too which are artists in the charts as that is what the majority of people needed.

Q6

Most Popular answer: A balance of text and images.

Q7:

The most popular answer: Simple with minimal images and a breif description.

Q8
Most Popular answer: Large image with lots of text.

Q9
My favourite names: Tones, Charts, Notes. I think Charts is more appropriate though so I think I shall use that one.
Q10

Most popular answer: Female however it is very close between the two.

I produced this survey on Survey Monkey and it was very easy and effective to use. I would recommend this to anyone if they need to produce a professional easy survey that can show the results in a variety of different ways.

Kate.
